We are looking for an IT Security Engineer in Croatia or Slovenia to join our team and participate in projects across a wide range of industries – from banking and insurance to telecommunications and hospitality. We are seeking a candidate ready to take on challenges and continuously invest in their professional development. We are looking for an expert who will be responsible for implementing and maintaining leading security technologies on the market.
Job Responsibilities:
- Implementation and maintenance of security solutions in IT systems
- Working with clients / interdisciplinary collaboration with other teams
- Preparation of project documentation
Employment Type: Fixed-term contract or permanent employment
Required Education, Knowledge, and Skills:
- Preferred: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a technical field (FER, FOI, PMF, TVZ, or other related faculties)
- Preferred experience working with IT security solutions (minimum 24 months)
- Basic knowledge of networking technologies
- Basic knowledge of working in Windows/Unix environments
- Interest in security topics, willingness for active learning and professional development
- Communication skills, proactivity, motivation, and readiness for teamwork
- Analytical and critical mindset with engineering precision in problem-solving
- Active knowledge of English
Advantages:
- Knowledge of Windows environments (installation, maintenance, server virtualization, Active Directory, etc.)
- Basic experience in network administration and security (routing, firewall, proxy, SMTP, DNS, etc.)
- Familiarity with security tools such as IBM QRadar, IBM Security Guardium, IAM, FRAUD, etc.
- Relevant security certifications are an advantage but not required
