As the leading Darktrace partner in the Adriatic region, Smartis hosted the 3rd traditional Darktrace User Group, this time together with Banka Slovenije. The event offered insights into the latest Darktrace innovations and encouraged valuable knowledge-sharing among users. Together with our customers and partners, we continue to build a trusted community where expertise, best practices, and real-world experiences are openly shared.
A big thank you to the Darktrace team for coming to Slovenia and sharing your expertise, to all participants for the great conversations and engagement, and to Banka Slovenije for hosting us and partnering with us on this year’s event.
Together with the participants, we also visited the Banka Slovenije Museum to explore how a central bank shapes our everyday lives.
💡 Did you know?
• Euro banknotes aren’t made from wood-based paper but from pure cotton fibres, which makes them durable and gives them their distinctive woven-like feel. Since 2019, all newly produced banknotes use sustainable cotton, including recycled cotton waste from the textile industry.
• Euro banknotes are among the least counterfeited currencies in the world, thanks to advanced security features like watermarks, security threads, holograms, micro-printing and raised ink.
💡Exhibits & insights:
The museum showcases the history of Slovenian money, including the tolar, as well as interactive displays that explain how money is created, protected, circulated, and eventually destroyed. One of the most unique pieces is a chair made from banknotes totalling €2,000,000.
But the star attraction is definitely the solid gold bar. Visitors can lift it and try to guess its weight, check how many gold bars they weigh themselves, solve an electrical quiz, try stabilizing inflation, measure their height in cents, and of course, take a photo on the two-million-euro chair.
A surprisingly fun and insightful look into the world behind the money we use every day.
