From fragmented data to smart decisions: a digital twin as the foundation for predictive analytics and artificial intelligence
In the second session, Alan Hadžić presented the concept of Digital Twins in energy systems and demonstrated how organizations can connect data, assets, locations, documentation, and maintenance activities into a unified operational context. This approach improves system visibility, supports more efficient infrastructure management, and enables better operational decision-making.
The presentation also explored how organizations can move from reactive to proactive management through monitoring, automation, reporting, and advanced data analysis. In addition, we highlighted how AI solutions based on LLM technologies can further enhance data interpretation, automate reporting processes, and support faster, more informed decision-making.
PIES 2026 provided an excellent opportunity to share knowledge, discuss real-world challenges, and showcase practical solutions supporting the digital transformation of modern infrastructure and energy environments.
